Denna and her husband, Kurt moved to central Illinois in July of 2023 to serve in the home office of Rural Home Missionary Association. They have a rural church-planting vision to see 40 unreached places reached with the Gospel of Jesus in the next 10 years, called the Back 40 Unreached Initiative. Kurt and Denna have five children with three still living at home where there never seems to be a dull moment. They previously served for 20 years as church planters in the Sandhills Region of Nebraska. Denna has a music degree from Moody Bible Institute and teaches music lessons out of their home. Her favorite Bible character is Priscilla and she enjoys serving alongside her 'Aquila.' She is the co-founder, former Director and current Board of Reference member for the Flowers ministry.
