Cara and her husband, Adam, ministered in a small-town church for 14 years before transitioning to the Rural Home Missionary Association Staff where Adam is the Executive Director. The town they live in is small, but sadly not small enough that she can raise chickens. However, she is raising three plucky kids and two cats.
